Confidentiality

Axess sexual health is a confidential service. ‘Confidential’ means we keep your data and details private.

When you visit a sexual health clinic, you may have to give personal details. This can include your name and phone number. You are not obliged to provide us with your real name if you are 18 or over.

You do not have to be registered with a GP to use our services.

Clinicians will speak with you about sex and your sexual well-being. Confidentiality means that what you tell us will be kept private.

Only you will see the results of your sexual health tests. We will not share any test results with your parent or guardian.

We will only share your details without your permission if you or others are at risk.

Your privacy is important to us.

If you are worried about your privacy, you can speak with your clinician. They will tell you what they will do with the details you have provided.
