World Aids Day and HIV awareness
1st December each year marks World AIDS Day. It's an opportunity for us to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support to those living with HIV and to commemorate those that have died with HIV related illnesses.
Over 103,800 people are living with HIV in the UK. The numbers of infections are decreasing thanks to advances in medication, HIV testing and medication. However over 4,450 people are still diagnosed each year. Many people still don't know the facts or how to protect themselves.
Unfortunately, stigma and ignorance are still very much a reality for those living with HIV. This year we hope to mark and celebrate World AIDS Day by raising awareness.
Please show your support and take the time to go through this short awareness training. It's only through raising awareness that we can end HIV stigma.
