At axess sexual health, we are constantly looking for ways to develop our services. We are inviting you to take part in a survey to help develop a sexual health mobile application (App) designed for young women* aged 25 and under. The following information explains what the project is about and how you can help. You do not have to take part if you don’t want to. If there is anything you are unsure about, feel free to ask questions before deciding.
Why are we doing this project?
We want to see how a sexual health app may be useful for you. This will include:
We want you to share your ideas and help us build something that works for young women.
What will happen if I say yes?
You will be sent an online survey via text link that will take 10-15 minutes to complete. The survey will be tick boxes and some questions needing written responses.
Are there any risks?
There are very few risks. It will take some of your time and some topics discussed may be sensitive, but you can choose not to answer.
Why take part?
By sharing your thoughts, you can help us make an app that works well for young women. Your feedback will guide us in making the app informative, easier to use, and more helpful for learning about your health and you accessing information and care. Your opinion is important to us and there are no right or wrong answers!
What will happen to my data and information?
All information you share with us will be kept private and confidential. We will not require your name as the survey is anonymous. We will then ask general information about you, such as age, sexuality, post code, ethnicity for example, so we can show we have a range of people answering. You do not have to answer any or all these questions if you do not want to provide this information. The survey can be completed by those who do and do not use our service so please feel free to share the survey link with others.
We will store your answers electronically and only the project team will be able to access this data. We may use quotes or information for reports or publications, but these will not include your name or anything that could reveal your identity.
Everything you tell us will be used responsibly and with care as this study follows the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. These rules are in place to protect your privacy.
