Axess 4 u is designed specifically to support the health and wellbeing of young people. To protect their safety, privacy, and comfort, we have created a dedicated environment where they feel able to speak openly and confidently with our healthcare professionals and use a waiting room without adults present.
To help keep the waiting room a safe and comfortable space, we kindly ask that adults over the age of 19 wait outside any of the axess clinic areas during axess 4 u sessions.
If a young person is accompanied by a parent or other adult/carer, they are welcome to join the young person inside the clinic room after the initial consultation with the consent of the young person, but you will not be able to wait in the waiting room. Please ensure the receptionist is aware you need to do this.
There are no restrictions for adults who wish to accompany their young people into the service if you attend one of the all-age walk-in sessions. Clinic opening times for our all-age walk-ins are available on our website.
This approach helps us to create a youth-friendly space that promotes privacy, independence, and trust.
We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us make the clinic a safe and respectful place for all our young clients.
If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact our team.
